How Life Coaching Can Work For You

Life Coaching is becoming more popular, however, it is still obscure to some people. There are some that still don’t know what a Life Coach does, so it’s difficult to see what the benefits might be. Let me break this down for you. You’ll discover an amazing tool that is available to you.

Being human is complex. We have a lot of different areas that we have to try and balance out: career, relationships, health, finances. etc.. It’s easy to get pulled in many directions at one time and lose sight of your goals or what it is that you truly want. When all of these responsibilities are top priority, we then function on a day-to-day basis, just “getting through” life instead of fully embracing it and enjoying it. Feeling stressed or unfulfilled leads us to seek other vices and habits that range from unhealthy to downright destructive.

Sustaining motivation is also an issue for most. In my experience, I’ve encountered hundreds of people who are great “starters” but can’t seem to finish anything. Once the initial excitement of a project, goal, or relationship wears off, it’s hard to keep going without a source of ongoing support. That’s where the coach comes in, to help you narrow your focus, set measurable goals, and hold you accountable on a weekly or monthly basis to make sure you stay true to your mission.

But it’s also so much more than that. It runs deeper than just having a cheerleader or a drill sergeant to push you along. A Life Coach can help you uncover some deep-seated issues and get clarity on the actions you need to take to move forward, notice the keywords being action and forward. Coaching is different than therapy, where there is a lot of working through issues from the past. A Life Coach will help you identify where you’re at right now and where you want to go, with a map on how to get there. Here’s the thing, we don’t just hand you the blueprint, we facilitate the space for you to have your own A-HA moments. That is empowering! Advice is free, you could get advice all day long from everyone around you. The difference is, a Life Coach will allow you to find your inner wisdom. That wisdom just needs to be brought out.follow your heart

What is the value of realizing your dreams and taking action towards them instead of sitting silently, in fear, complaining every day? Some people will say, “I can’t afford coaching.” Take a look at your budget, how much do you spend on things that aren’t a necessity i.e. eating-out, booze, cigarettes, miscellaneous unnecessary items. Your LIFE is worth more than anything. What is really at stake here? Do you want to be a by-stander or a participant in the things are really important to you in the one life you know that you’re guaranteed, the one you are living right now? The cost of excuses is far greater than the cost of having someone to support you, from an objective and safe place.

Life Coaches have all different kinds of niches or areas of specialty, so that you can pick a coach that has the ability to hone in on what you’re seeking. I’m a highly intuitive, spiritual coach and I use this in my practice to get to the bottom of where you want to go. I help people in major life transitions to shed what is no longer serving them, like clutter, creative blockages, and negative thoughts. I also work with a lot of clients who are entrepreneurs that are trying to find their true passion and establish their new business. There are different coaches for different areas of opportunity like career, dating, and relationship coaches. I use different tools in my sessions like the popular “Wheel of Balance” and I also have some of my own, unique tools that I’ve created. Some coaches use NLP, EFT, and Hypnosis in their practice.

To elaborate more on the actual process, coaches do not dictate instructions. Instead we ask powerful questions, sometimes very personal ones, to uncover what might be holding you back. The goal is to challenge you. You’ll walk away with some “homework” from each session. Not written work, per se, but some actions you’ll need to take before you meet with your coach again. Your actions help you move one step closer to where you want to be whether that is mentally, emotionally, or physically. Some people simply like to be told what to do and like the answers to be handed to them. If so, coaching is not for you. You must be a person who is willing to be an active participant in your own personal development and growth, otherwise the coaching won’t work.

So now the question is, what are you waiting for? What are your ambitions or challenges that I can help you with? There are a ton of great coaches out there, ready to assist you on your beautiful path.

I look forward to your comments!

All the best,

Rose Rising
